This Little Moment specializes in maternity, newborn and child photography. We are obsessed with belly laughs, tiny toes, gurgles, giggles and sweet baby skin. Every new session is our new favorite session. We adore showing off the distinctive quality that make your child so uniquely special. Children grow so fast, newborns in particular are only this tiny for a brief time. Photographs for us inspire, enthrall, envelop and reach right into your soul. This is what we love about photography. Capturing all these little moments now will result in a photo that you can cherish for generations. With a relaxed and fun atmosphere we strive to make our clients part of our family.


Kelly Whitney I have been an artist all my life. I truly believe that there is an inherent quality with art that cannot be taught or learned and I knew at a very young age that I was an artist. With parents that embraced creativity I was given all the paint, crayons, guidance and freedom a girl could ask for… when I was 13 my parents even allowed me to paint my entire room in a jungle theme; it was AWESOME.

I went on to get a Bachelors Degree in Art. I entered the advertising industry and thrived in that fast paced hectic career. On my down time from work I continued to paint, to immerse myself in social media and then it happened. Saturday January 10, 2009, I borrowed my brother-in-laws 50D canon and that day I lost my heart and soul to photography. What resulted afterwards over the years was a passion that has only gotten greater. I exited the advertising world and dedicated all my time to my new love of photography and I have never looked back. I am thankful for all the different forms of art, from painting to advertising that have gotten me to this place. I find I draw from the various aspects and infuse it into my work. I have a great love for people… children especially. I hope to get to meet with you soon.


Jessica Roud Since I could first hold a paintbrush I have been creating art. Whether it was painting rocks in my Nana’s backyard to look like turtles or building a child’s dresser out of wood I have always been creating. From the first time I have held a disposable camera I have been in love with taking photographs, catching those moments the ones that are brilliant and emotional but gone in a fleeting second I have always felt that the world is so much better for having photography for being able to look back and see how far we have come. I choose to go to the Art Institute for Industrial Design, and that decision allowed me to continue creating amazing art. After graduation I have had a wealth of career experience in my artistic journey of the past 10 years. I have also worked as a portrait photographer and retoucher for Beusen’s photography for three years.


About us together We have been following each other around the country for their entire lives. Born and raised in Michigan they have been inseparable since meeting at the age of 12. Working together for years in the advertising world it was a natural progression for us to break off on our own and start This Little Moment.
